St. Patrick
Wilmington, DE
St. Patrick Church, located in downtown Wilmington, Delaware, was founded in 1880 and completed in 1882. The church stands at 15th and King Streets and offers Mass schedules on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and First Fridays and Saturdays. The parish school operated from 1888 until 1974, staffed by the Sisters of Saint Francis of Philadelphia. After the closure of the school in 1975, the building was repurposed as the Saint Patrick Center, which now provides essential services to the community. The church has undergone restoration efforts, particularly in 2013, to restore its original beauty and maintain a strong presence in the inner-city community.
