St. James Parish
Waynesburg, OH
St. James Parish is located in Waynesburg, Ohio, part of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. Founded in 1926, it was established to serve Catholics in Stark County who previously had to travel to Canton for Mass. The parish's first church was built in 1928 and later expanded into a brick structure in 1962, which now houses St. James School. The school, founded in 1964, teaches students from preschool through sixth grade. St. James the Greater, the first disciple to follow Jesus and the first to be martyred, serves as the parish's patron, inspiring a community of discipleship and outreach.
