St. Michael Parish serves the Catholic community in Canfield, Ohio. Established as a mission in 1960 by Bishop Emmet Walsh, it became a parish in 1962 under Father Hugh Gallagher. The cornerstone for the first Catholic church in Canfield's history was laid in November 1963 and dedicated on October 4, 1964. Since then, the parish has grown significantly, overcoming financial challenges through sound investments and community support. Notable expansions include a Parish Center built in 1980 to accommodate growing religious education needs.
