In the city of Ambanja, Madagascar, this Latin Church diocese (Latin: Ambaniaën[sis]) serves as a suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Antsiranana. Its episcopal see, the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, was constructed in 1933.
