History
Batouri, a city in Cameroon's ecclesiastical province of Bertoua, is the seat of a Roman Catholic diocese (Latin: Baturien(sis)) centered on the Cathédrale Notre-Dame there. Its territory spans 15,981 square kilometers and holds 205,000 inhabitants, of whom 47,000 are Catholics, served by 11 parishes and 27 priests (21 diocesan, 2 religious, and 4 Fidei donum), alongside 13 religious brothers, 17 seminarians, and 31 religious sisters.
