History
Seventeen counties of southern Mississippi in the United States make up the Diocese of Biloxi (Latin: Dioecesis Biloxiensis), erected in 1977 as a suffragan of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Mobile. The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Biloxi serves as the diocesan cathedral.
