History
In Bahia state in eastern Brazil, the Diocese of Itabuna (Latin: Dioecesis Itabunensis) serves as a Latin suffragan see within the ecclesiastical province of São Salvador da Bahia. Its episcopal seat is the Catedral São José, dedicated to Saint Joseph, in the city of Itabuna.

Diocese of Itabuna holds VII Encontro Diocesano do Terço dos Homens
The Diocese of Itabuna held its VII Diocesan Meeting of the Men's Rosary, bringing together men, women, children, and various caravans from parishes in the North and South deaneries. The event focused on the theme of praying for families through the faith of Mary. The day began with a procession from Santo Antônio Square, in front of Santo Antônio Parish, through the city center to AFI College. After a breakfast, Father Ricardo Nunes de Rezende led adoration and the blessing of the Blessed Sacrament. Father Josafá Souza da Cruz from São Sebastião Parish in Camacan preached on the importance of prayer in family life, devotion to the Virgin Mary, and the role of praying men in daily life. In the afternoon, participants recited the Rosary, with members of the Men's Rosary movement from different parishes leading each mystery. The gathering concluded with a celebration of Holy Mass.
