The Archdiocese of Santarem is a Latin Church metropolitan see in Para state, northern Brazil. Erected as a territorial prelature in 1903, it was elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese on 6 November 2019 and has suffragans including Obidos, Xingu-Altamira, Alto Xingu-Tucuma, and Itaituba.

History

A Latin Church metropolitan archdiocese in northern Brazil, Santarém (Latin: Dioecesis Santaremensis) served as a suffragan diocese within the ecclesiastical province of Belém do Pará until 6 November 2019. Its cathedral, the Catedral Nossa Senhora da Conceição, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, stands in the city of Santarém, Brazil.
