History
A Latin Church territorial prelature in Amazonas state, inland northern Brazil, Itacoatiara (Latin: Praelatura Territorialis Itacoatiarensis) is suffragan to the metropolitan Archdiocese of Manaus. Its cathedral, the Catedral Prelatícia Nossa Senhora do Rosário, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, stands in the episcopal see of Itacoatiara, Amazonas.
