History
Erected in 1847, the Diocese of Buffalo (Latin: Diœcesis Buffalensis) serves Western New York in the United States and takes in eight counties. It is suffragan within the metropolitan province of the Archdiocese of New York. St. Joseph Cathedral in Buffalo is the mother church, and Michael Fisher is the bishop.
