Latin rite diocese covering northern mainland Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island, erected in 1844 as the Diocese of Arichat and renamed Antigonish in 1886. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth and is led by Bishop Wayne Kirkpatrick, installed in 2020.
