Metropolitan archdiocese of the Latin Church in Ghana, established in 1879 as the Apostolic Prefecture of the Gold Coast and elevated to an archdiocese in 1950. Its cathedral, St. Francis de Sales, was the first Catholic cathedral in Ghana, and the see is led by Archbishop Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle.

History
Ghana's ecclesiastical province of Cape Coast has as its metropolitan see the Catholic Archdiocese of Cape Coast (Latin: a Litore Aureo).
