The Diocese of Cesena-Sarsina is a Latin Church diocese in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, formed in 1986 when Sarsina was united with the historic see of Cesena. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Ravenna-Cervia. Antonio Giuseppe Caiazzo, who holds the personal title of archbishop, was appointed bishop in January 2025 and installed in March 2025, succeeding Douglas Regattieri.

History

On September 30, 1986, the Diocese of Sarsina was united with the historic Diocese of Cesena to create the Diocese of Cesena-Sarsina (Latin: Dioecesis Caesenatensis-Sarsinatensis), a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in Emilia-Romagna and a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Ravenna-Cervia. The present bishop is Archbishop Antonio Giuseppe Caiazzo, formerly archbishop of Matera-Irsina, who kept the personal title of archbishop on his transfer. Appointed January 7, 2025, he succeeded Bishop Douglas Regattieri, now bishop emeritus.
