Established on December 13, 1933 as the Apostolic Prefecture of Yanggu from the Apostolic Vicariate of Yanzhoufu, promoted to apostolic vicariate in 1939 and to diocese on April 11, 1946. Its cathedral is at Dingshui; Bishop Joseph Zhao Fengchang, consecrated in 2000, is listed as the incumbent.

History
Centered in the Chinese province of Shandong, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Yanggu, also rendered Yangku (Latin: Iamcuven(sis), simplified Chinese: 阳谷; traditional Chinese: 陽穀; pinyin: Yánggǔ), is located in Yanggu within the ecclesiastical province of Jinan.
