The Diocese of Santa Marta is one of the oldest sees in the Americas, a Latin rite diocese on Colombia's Caribbean coast, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Barranquilla. It was erected on 10 January 1534 from the Diocese of Santo Domingo. Its seat is the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Martha in Santa Marta, among the oldest cathedrals in South America.

History
Santa Marta, a city in Colombia's ecclesiastical province of Barranquilla, is the seat of this diocese, known in Latin as Sanctae Marthae.
