The Archdiocese of San Cristobal de la Habana is the Latin rite metropolitan see of western Cuba, with suffragans Matanzas and Pinar del Rio, and the largest Cuban see by population. Erected as a diocese on 10 September 1787 from the Diocese of Santiago de Cuba, it was elevated to an archdiocese on 6 January 1925. Its seat is the Cathedral of St. Christopher (Cathedral of Havana).
