Derna is a Latin Church apostolic vicariate in eastern Libya, erected on 22 June 1939 from the Apostolic Vicariate of Cyrenaica and immediately subject to the Holy See. The see is currently vacant, administered since 2019 by Bishop Sandro Overend Rigillo, O.F.M., vicar apostolic of Benghazi, as apostolic administrator.

History
In Derna, Libya, the Catholic Church maintains the Apostolic Vicariate of Derna (Latin: Vicariatus Apostolicus Dernensis), a Latin Church missionary territory. It possesses an episcopal see but no cathedral, and it belongs to no ecclesiastical province, being exempt directly to the Holy See through the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
