The Archdiocese of Durango is a Latin Church metropolitan see in northern Mexico, erected as a diocese in 1620 and elevated to an archdiocese in 1891. It is the metropolitan for the suffragan sees of Gomez Palacio, Mazatlan, Torreon, and the Prelature of El Salto.

History

Based in the city of Durango, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Durango (Latin: Archidioecesis Durangensis) is a metropolitan see in Mexico, presiding over the suffragan dioceses of Gómez Palacio, Mazatlán and Torreón along with the Territorial Prelature of El Salto.
