History
In southeastern France, the Department of Alpes-Maritimes forms the territory of the Diocese of Nice (Latin: Dioecesis Nicensis; French: Diocèse de Nice), a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church. It stands as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Marseille.
