Latin-rite apostolic vicariate of the Laotian capital, erected as a vicariate in 1952, with its seat at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Vientiane. Bishop Anthony Adoun Hongsaphong, a priest of the Apostolic Vicariate of Pakse appointed by Pope Francis in December 2024, received episcopal ordination at Sacred Heart Cathedral on March 25, 2025 as the new vicar apostolic.
