The Diocese of Makurdi is a Latin Catholic see covering Benue State in central Nigeria. It was erected in 1959 as the Diocese of Oturkpo, renamed Makurdi in 1960, and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Abuja.

History
Makurdi, in Nigeria's Benue State, is home to a Latin Catholic diocese bearing its name (Latin: Makurden(sis)). The see belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Abuja.
