History
Founded on 26 January 1863, the Diocese of Zacatecas (Latin: Dioecesis Zacatecensis) is a Mexican see now suffragan to the Archdiocese of San Luis Potosí. For most of its history it answered instead to the Archdiocese of Guadalajara, an arrangement that lasted until 25 November 2006.
