History
Though named for Newton, Massachusetts, the Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Newton (Latin: Eparchia Neotoniensis Graecorum Melkitarum) extends across the entire United States as the Melkite Greek Catholic Church's territory there. Roughly fifty Melkite parishes, missions, and "outreaches" are currently spread across about two dozen states.
