History
Central Massachusetts in the United States is home to the Diocese of Worcester (Latin: Diœcesis Wigorniensis), a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church whose territory is Worcester County. It stands as a suffragan of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Boston. Paul the Apostle is the diocesan patron, and the Cathedral of Saint Paul in the city of Worcester serves as its mother church. Robert McManus, the fifth bishop, currently leads the see.
