Latin rite metropolitan archdiocese seated in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Erected as the Diocese of Benin City on 18 April 1950 from the Apostolic Vicariate of Asaba-Benin and elevated to metropolitan archdiocese on 26 March 1994, with Auchi, Bomadi, Issele-Uku, Uromi and Warri as suffragans. Its seat is Holy Cross Cathedral.
