DIOCESE OF MBINGA BIDS FAREWELL TO REV. FR. ANDREAS JOSEPH NDIMBO AFTER 53 YEARS OF PRIESTLY SERVICE
The Diocese of Mbinga held a funeral Mass on September 17, 2026, for Father Andreas Joseph Ndimbo, who died on September 14 at the age of 83. Father Ndimbo served as a priest for 53 years and was the first director of Caritas for the diocese. Bishop Eusebio Kyando of the Diocese of Njombe presided over the funeral Mass because the Bishop of Mbinga, John Chrysostom Ndimbo, was in Rome. The service was attended by clergy, religious communities, seminarians, government leaders, and thousands of faithful. Born on December 3, 1943, in Litembo Parish, Father Ndimbo was ordained to the priesthood in 1973.
