Its seat is the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Worker in Indiana, Maynas province.

Apostolic Vicariate of San José del Amazonas holds 2nd Tantarina in Angoteros
The Apostolic Vicariate of San José del Amazonas held the second Tantarina from September 10 to 12 in Angoteros to strengthen the leadership and organization of Napuruna Kichwa communities in the Upper Napo region. Approximately 60 community leaders, women leaders, and Christian animators from 16 communities participated in the gathering. The event organized participants into groups based on their specific roles. Community authorities, known as Apus, worked with ORKIWAN president Rafael Noteno to study communal administration, organization, and fundamental rights. Christian animators, called Kuyllur runakuna, attended training on preparing Sunday celebrations to integrate Kichwa culture and worldview into their faith. Women leaders, or Warmi líder, met with Murui leader Rubiela Ríos to discuss leadership and organization.
