History
In Acre (state), in westernmost Amazonian Brazil, the Diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul (Latin: Dioecesis Crucis Australis) serves as a suffragan see of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Porto Velho. Its cathedral, the Marian Catedral Nossa Senhora da Gloria, stands in the city of Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre.
