The Diocese of Kavieng is a Latin rite diocese covering New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Rabaul. It was erected as a vicariate apostolic in 1957 and elevated to a diocese in 1966. The see has been vacant since Bishop Rochus Josef Tatamai was appointed Archbishop of Rabaul in 2020.

History
A suffragan of the Archdiocese of Rabaul, the Latin Catholic Diocese of Kavieng was erected as a Vicariate Apostolic in 1957 and raised to diocesan status in 1966.
