The Diocese of Kerema is a Latin rite diocese covering Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Port Moresby. It was erected in 1971 from portions of the Dioceses of Bereina and Mendi and counts 11 parishes across some 34,472 square kilometers.

Bishops on Annual Retreat Celebrate Memorial of Padre Pio and Pray for Rain for Drought-Stricken Regions
Bishops from the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands celebrated Mass for the Memorial of St. Pio of Pietrelcina on Wednesday at the conference chapel in Port Moresby. During the liturgy, the bishops prayed for rain to assist regions suffering from drought. The bishops are currently participating in their annual retreat, which began on Monday and is scheduled to conclude this Friday. His Eminence Mykola Cardinal is facilitating the retreat.
