The Diocese of Mendi is a Latin rite diocese covering the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mount Hagen. Erected as a prefecture apostolic in 1958 and a vicariate in 1965, it was elevated to a diocese on 15 November 1966.

History
Located in Mendi, Papua New Guinea, this Latin Catholic diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mount Hagen. It was first erected as a Prefecture Apostolic in 1958, raised to a Vicariate Apostolic in 1965, and then, together with other Oceanic vicariates and prefectures, elevated to a diocese on 15 November 1966. Donald Lippert, OFMCap, serves as bishop.
