Latin-rite metropolitan archdiocese in western Poland and the country's oldest see, established in 968 as the missionary diocese of Poland with its seat in Poznan; it was raised to a metropolitan archdiocese on 16 July 1821. Its suffragan is the Diocese of Kalisz. Its mother church is the Archcathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in Poznan.

History
One of 14 archdioceses in Poland, the Archdiocese of Poznań (Latin: Archidioecesis Metropolitae Posnaniensis, Polish: Archidiecezja Metropolita Poznańska) is a Latin archdiocese of the Catholic Church with its seat in the city of Poznań.
