History
A Latin Rite suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Asunción, which covers all and only Paraguay, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Caacupé (Latin: Dioecesis Caacupensis) has for its cathedral episcopal see a Minor Basilica and National Shrine, the Catedral Basílica Nuestra Señora de los Milagros, dedicated to Our Lady of Miracles, in the city of Caacupé in Cordillera Department.
