The Archdiocese of Rossano-Cariati is a Latin Catholic see in Calabria, Italy, founded as the Diocese of Rossano in 597 and elevated to an archdiocese in 1460. Despite holding archiepiscopal rank it is a suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of Cosenza-Bisignano, and is led by Archbishop Maurizio Aloise.

History
Calabria's Archdiocese of Rossano-Cariati (Latin: Archidioecesis Rossanensis-Cariatensis) traces its existence to 597, when it began as the Diocese of Rossano. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Cosenza-Bisignano.

Pope Leo XIV to meet Italian priests in Rome on December 12
Pope Leo XIV will hold an audience with Italian priests in Rome on December 12, 2026. The meeting follows a period of reflection and a prayer vigil scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, December 11. Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, president of the Italian Episcopal Conference, announced the gathering in a letter to bishops. The event coincides with the first anniversary of the apostolic letter Una fedeltà che genera futuro, which was released to mark the 60th anniversary of the council decrees Optatam totius and Presbyterorum ordinis. Priests interested in attending must register through the Italian Episcopal Conference portal by October 31, 2026. In his invitation, Cardinal Zuppi noted that the council decrees remain relevant for helping priests maintain their ministry through connection to Christ, the Church, their bishops, and their fellow priests.

Diocese of Rossano–Cariati presents restored "Madonna del Rosario" painting
The Diocese of Rossano–Cariati presented the restored Madonna del Rosario altarpiece at the Museo del Codex. This ancient painting on wood originally belonged to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in San Lorenzo del Vallo. The presentation took place at the Diocesan Museum and Codex Museum to showcase the cultural and spiritual value of the restored work.
