Apostolic exarchate of the Russian Greek Catholic Church (Byzantine rite), organized at a council in May 1917 with Blessed Leonid Feodorov as first exarch. The see has been vacant since 1951 but remains listed in the Annuario Pontificio; since 2004 Bishop Joseph Werth of Novosibirsk has served as ordinary for Byzantine-rite Catholics in Russia. The church counted around 3,000 members as of 2019.

History
Known also as the Russian Byzantine Catholic Church, the Russian Greek Catholic Church is a sui iuris (self-governing) Byzantine Rite Eastern Catholic particular church within the worldwide Catholic Church, in full communion with and subject to the Pope in Rome as the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches defines. Historically, Russian Catholics possessed their own episcopal hierarchy in the Russian Catholic Apostolic Exarchate of Russia and the Russian Catholic Apostolic Exarchate of Harbin, China.
