The Diocese of Springfield in Illinois is a Latin Church diocese in central Illinois, first established in 1853 as the Diocese of Quincy, renamed Alton in 1857, and renamed Springfield in 1923. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Chicago and is led by Bishop Thomas John Paprocki.
