The Diocese of Umuahia is a Latin Church diocese in Abia State, Nigeria, erected in 1958 from the Diocese of Owerri and suffragan to the Archdiocese of Owerri. Its bishop is Michael Kalu Ukpong, appointed diocesan bishop in November 2022.

History
Centered on the city of Umuahia, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Umuahia (Latin: Umuahian(a)) once belonged to the Old Ecclesiastical Province of Onitsha; today it forms part of the ecclesiastical province of Owerri in Nigeria, which was erected on 26 March 1994. A Bishop and Diocese of Umuahia also exist in the Church of Nigeria's Province of Aba.
