The Latin rite Diocese of Vinh Long in Vietnam's Mekong Delta was erected in its present form on 24 November 1960 from the Apostolic Vicariate of Vinh Long. A suffragan of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, its cathedral is the Cathedral of St Anne in Vinh Long.

History
Declared in its present form on November 24, 1960, the Diocese of Vĩnh Long (Latin: Dioecesis Vinhlongensis) serves southern Vietnam as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, covering 6,772 km². St. Anne’s Cathedral in Vĩnh Long town is the designated cathedral. Peter Huỳnh Văn Hai has led the diocese as bishop since October 2015. As of 2014 it counted about 199,404 Catholics, roughly 4.5% of the population, with 179 priests and 209 parishes.
