The Diocese of Fairbanks is a Latin Rite diocese covering northern and western Alaska, erected in 1962. Geographically the largest diocese in the United States, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau and is led by Bishop Steven J. Maekawa.
