Latin rite metropolitan archdiocese seated in Jakarta, Indonesia, founded in 1807 as the Apostolic Prefecture of Batavia and elevated to an archdiocese in 1961, with the dioceses of Bandung and Bogor as suffragans. The archbishop is Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo, in office since 2010; he submitted his resignation in 2025 and the see remained under his care pending the Vatican's decision as of early 2026.
