The Diocese of Raleigh will host its 6th annual Franciscan Spirit and Life Convocation on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the parish fellowship hall.

Fr. George Corrigan will serve as the keynote speaker to discuss how the Franciscan charism shapes the mission of the Church. The schedule also includes two rounds of breakout sessions with 8 presentations on Franciscan spirituality, discipleship, service, and evangelization. Registration costs $15 and includes lunch.

The Luz y Vida prayer group will host a conversion and healing retreat on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Saint Julia Catholic Church. The event begins at 8:00 a.m. and features Father Emilio Acevedo, who is visiting from the Dominican Republic.

Participants will spend the day in prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. The cost to attend is $25, which includes lunch.

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church will host the Elevated Parish Mission, a three-night event designed to help parishioners deepen their faith and experience discipleship. The mission includes preaching, worship, Eucharistic Adoration, and opportunities for prayer and reflection.

The program is scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 6:30 PM. A subsequent session is listed for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 8:30 PM. The Diocese of Raleigh invites all people, regardless of how long they have been practicing their faith, to register for the experience.
