Evangelization event held at the Great Madonna Church in Nagyboldogasszony

The Diocese of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza held an evangelization event titled "At the Well – Encounter with Jesus" on Saturday, October 24, at the civil Great Madonna Church. The evening included the Rosary and a Mass with music by the EFFATA Zenekar from Gödöllő.

During the Mass, János Varga, an SVD religious priest, spoke about Church renewal and reaching those distant from the faith. He addressed why prayer and evangelization efforts sometimes appear to lack results in families, communities, and the Church. He used the story of Saint Thomas Aquinas to suggest that God's plans often exceed human expectations. He noted that those working for Church renewal must prepare for difficulties, disappointments, and periods of apparent fruitlessness.
