Abp Adam Szal leads 50th anniversary Mass in Kopytowa

Catholic Intelligence1 min read

Archbishop Adam Szal led a Mass to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the St. Maximilian Kolbe parish in Kopytowa.

During the homily, the Archbishop of Przemyśl urged the faithful to renew their relationship with God and build a spiritual community. He noted that the jubilee serves as more than a remembrance of history or the difficulties faced during the construction of the church, calling it an opportunity to strengthen ties with God.

Addressing the Gospel reading regarding taxes, Szal explained that Jesus acted as a teacher rather than a politician. He reminded the congregation to give to God what belongs to God, emphasizing the need to distinguish between earthly and spiritual matters. He also warned against modern materialism, stating that a person can live in a luxurious home yet remain spiritually homeless if they lack heart.
