Archbishop Caccia addresses G20 Interfaith Forum in Utah
Archbishop Gabriele G. Caccia, the papal nuncio to the United States, addressed the G20 Interfaith Forum in Salt Lake City on Oct. 15. Speaking at the Salt Lake City Tabernacle, the archbishop asked what kind of human future people are building together. He noted that while upcoming G20 leaders will meet in Miami this December to discuss economic growth, energy security, and artificial intelligence, these topics are linked by whether such progress truly serves the human person.
The forum, themed Resilient Hope, Shared Future, ran from Oct. 15 to Oct. 17. It included speakers such as Dallin H. Oaks, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The event brought together faith leaders, scholars, and policymakers to address global challenges through four primary themes: economic growth for the common good, energy security for a sustainable future, artificial intelligence and the human future, and interfaith engagement regarding United Nations sustainable development.
