Arcidiocesi di Ancona-Osimo holds oratory festival
The Archdiocese of Ancona-Osimo held an oratory festival on Saturday, October 24, at the San Gaspare del Bufalo parish in Ancona. The event brought together children, young people, and educators from nine different oratories to promote friendship and cooperation among the various pastoral communities.
Participants from the following parishes attended the gathering: Maria SS. Madre di Dio in Torrette, Santa Maria della Misericordia in Ancona, Sant’Antonino Martire in Polverigi, San Biagio, San Nicolò di Bari in Gallignano, San Francesco alle Scale and Santi Cosma e Damiano, San Gaspare del Bufalo, Sacro Cuore di Gesù in via Maratta, and Santa Maria dei Servi.
During the celebration, each oratory contributed one kilogram of colored salt to a large transparent vessel placed before the altar during Holy Mass. The different colors represented the unique identities and histories of each community. The Archdiocese organized the event to encourage mutual acquaintance between parishes, including those that do not yet have a structured oratory.
