Bishop Jacek Tendej walks while praying
Bishop Jacek Tendej of the Diocese of Alotau-Sideia in Papua New Guinea walks while praying before the Blessed Sacrament to avoid mosquitoes that make it impossible to pray while standing still, according to Vatican News.
The diocese consists of only 5 percent land, with the remaining area being water. Reaching some pastoral communities requires a boat journey of up to three days. Tendej described the region as the end of the world during a discussion with Vatican News regarding World Mission Sunday.
