Cardinal Matteo Zuppi launches renewal of Vicariate of Bologna's historic center

Cardinal Matteo Zuppi launched a reform project for the Vicariate of Bologna's historic center through a letter sent on July 28, 2026. The project involves parish communities, religious communities, movements, and associations located within the city's historic center.

Under this renewal, the parishes are organized into seven pastoral units. The plan recognizes the historic center as a single territory within a pastoral zone.
