Diocese of Dourados closes Diocesan Pastoral Assembly
The Diocese of Dourados concluded its Diocesan Pastoral Assembly on Saturday, October 17, at the Instituto Pastoral de Dourados (IPAD). The meeting brought together more than 180 participants, including the bishop, priests, deacons, religious brothers and sisters, theology seminarians, and lay leaders from 38 parishes and the Itahum and Vista Alegre Pastoral Area.
The sessions followed the Diretrizes Gerais da Ação Evangelizadora da Igreja no Brasil (DGAE) 2026–2032, as outlined in Documento 114 of the Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB).
Participants used the assembly to pray, reflect, and plan evangelization efforts. Father André Márcio Nogueira de Souza, executive secretary of the CNBB Regional Oeste 1, noted the importance of the assembly as an organism of communion in the life of the Church.
