Diocese of Erexim appoints José Carlos Sala as director-general of Rádio Virtual FM

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Bishop Adimir Antonio Mazali appointed Father José Carlos Sala as the director-general of Rádio Virtual FM, also known as Sociedade Rádio São José, in Erechim. The appointment was formalized in Decree No. 09/2026 signed by the bishop in early October.

The diocese officially communicated the change to the radio staff during a meeting on Friday, October 16, attended by the bishop, Father Sala, and station employees. As director-general, Father Sala will represent the Diocese of Erexim regarding the radio station and monitor its activities alongside the bishop.

Father Sala currently serves as the rector of the seminary located at the Nossa Senhora de Fátima Sanctuary Complex, where the radio station is also based. This proximity is expected to help him integrate the station's activities with the pastoral work of the diocese.
