Diocese of Patos-PB celebrates DNJ 2026

The Diocese of Patos celebrated National Youth Day on Saturday, October 17, at the Parque Religioso Cruz da Menina in Patos, Brazil. More than 3,500 young people from the eight deaneries of the diocese attended the event.

Bishop Eraldo Bispo da Silva presided over the Holy Mass, which used the liturgy for the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time. During his homily, Bishop da Silva encouraged the youth to live with rectitude and to fulfill their evangelizing mission within their parish communities. The Bishop also serves as the youth reference bishop for the Regional Nordeste 2 of the Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil.

The program included a vocational fair to present various religious charisms. Father Evandro Romero led a session on Marian spirituality, and Father Maurício Lucena, the diocesan youth advisor, led adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
